AAAAARRRRGGGGHHHH

i can’t get garage band to record my drums it’s driving me nuts i thing i can use imovie to record a video and hopefully it will take input from the linein and i’ll be able to record it that way if i can then i am going to record me playing songs the first person to guess the song right will get a CPtm

The way I’d do it is with a registered quicktime pro (you can get the serial in Serial Box).

  1. Stick the drums output into the line in on your laptop. Open “Sound” in System Preferences and set the input to line in.*
  2. Check the level by playing the drums and adjusting the slider until the volume is high but not reaching the top of the level meter. C. Do a “New Movie Recording” in Quicktime Player and press record. III. Play sweet music.
  • Alternatively, you could set it to built in mic and play the drums through some kinda speakers.

Try audacity.sourceforge.net it records from line-in without charging you. Isn’t that nice.
