Snowboarding
I’ve been in pain for the last week. My ribs got bruised when I went snowboarding. If your planning on learning to snow board where there is actual snow then you should know that you might be out of breath. Out of breath a lot, Considering you’ll be a couple of thousand feet above sea level.
I also fell down often. It’s very easy to get going on a snowboard. All you have to do is point the top of the board toward the bottom of the mountain and let gravity do the rest. The hard part is stopping. By the end of the day I was able to stop with my back facing the bottom of the mountain but I wasn’t able to do it facing the other way around. Every time I tried I fell spectacularly. Maybe next time I’ll get the hang of it. The guy that was showing us how to board said that it only took 4-5 times to get really good at it, at which stage you should be able to start doing tricks and jumping off lumps of snow. His brother however considered it cheating. I’m not sure what his exact argument was.
I think I’m going skiing this weekend so I expect I’ll be riddled with pain again on Monday.
